CUTEP Exam: What Is It

This exam is for students who want to further their studies in English at Chulalongkorn University. Before CU-TEP test preparation (เตรียมสอบ CU-TEP which is the term in Thai) you need to be upper-intermediate. It is also used for both graduated and undergraduate admission. Its main purpose is to check your ability in Reading, writing in English, and listening, for proficient English in the academic.

What CUTEP Test Consists

It consists of writing the exam which its mark must be up to 120, listening, and reading. Students are required to reach at least 60 marks in order to gain admission in Chulalongkorn university program.

The Reading Section

It had related questions and 6 to 7 passages. Most of the passages are from textbooks of the undergraduate university. You need no special knowledge to pass because all answers are about ideas, sentence insertion, inferences, functions, restatement and vocabulary, etc. To finish the reading section, it takes up to 70 minutes to be completed and consists of 60 marks.

The Listening Section

This section has fifteen passages with related questions. Its questions are also about ideas, stance, inference, and functions, etc. It consists of 30 marks and 30 minutes to complete.
